Ellen Trachman, Esq., founded Trachman Law Center, LLC in order to bring dedicated and compassionate legal representation to those wishing to build a family through assisted reproductive technology, as well as those helping them. Originally from northern New Mexico, Ellen attended undergrad at the University of California, Berkeley, and law school at Emory University School of Law in Atlanta, Georgia. Ellen is licensed to practice law in Colorado, New Mexico, California, and Montana. She is a member of the American Bar Association Assisted Reproductive Technology Committee, the Colorado Women's Bar Association, the Colorado LGBT Bar Association, the New Mexico LGBTQ Bar Association, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, and a proud supporter of RESOLVE, the national infertility association. In 2019, Ellen co-founded Colorado Fertility Advocates, a non-profit organization supporting Colorado fertility professionals and advocates. Ellen was honored to be named 2020 Ally of the Year by the Colorado LGBT Bar Association. In 2015, Ellen was awarded Entrepreneurial Woman of the Year by the Denver Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, in 2017 Volunteer of the Year from the GLBT Community Center of Colorado, and in 2018 was named by Denver Business Journal as one of Denver's 40 Under 40. Ellen writes a weekly column on assisted reproductive technology legal issues for Above the Law and co-hosts the podcast I Want To Put A Baby In You. Ellen lives in Denver, Colorado, with her spouse, four kids, and adorable mini goldendoodle, Teddy.
