Paul Mark Sandler is a partner in the law firm of Shapiro Sher Guinot & Sandler, P.A., and is an active trial lawyer representing many notable clients in a wide variety of cases in state and federal courts. He is the author of Anatomy of a Trial: A Handbook for Young Lawyers, Second Edition; and Raising the Bar: Practice Tips and Trial Technique for Young Lawyers. He is co-author of The 12 Secrets of Persuasive Argument, Discovery Problems and Their Solutions, Maryland Discovery Problems and Solutions, Pleading Causes of Action in Maryland, Pattern Examinations of Witnesses for the Maryland Lawyer, and co-editor of Appellate Practice for the Maryland Lawyer: State and Federal. Mr. Sandler is a frequent lecturer on trial and appellate practice, and contributor to legal publications on the topics of trial practice and persuasion. He is founder and former chair of the Litigation Section of the Maryland State Bar Association, and past secretary of the Litigation Section of the American Bar Association.  Mr. Sandler is also a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, and Chairs the Committee on Teaching Trial and Appellate Advocacy for 2015-2016. He received his undergraduate degree from Hobart College, his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center, and was admitted to the Maryland Bar in 1972.
