Crenshaw AssociatesNat Stoddard, For the past ten years Nat Stoddard has been the Chairman of Crenshaw Associates where he serves as an Executive Advisor, OnBoarding Coach and Talent Strategy Consultant to select companies and individuals. He is the author of The Right Leader: Selecting Executives Who Fit (Wiley, 2009) that details a revolutionary process for assessing cultural compatibility and fit. Nat is a proven corporate executive with a record of achievement as the CEO, Chairman and/or President of several major public and private corporations. Prior to acquiring Crenshaw in 2001, Nat was President and CEO of World Kitchen, Inc. (a KKR company). With revenues of $1B+, World Kitchen is a leading manufacturer and marketer of kitchen products sold under brand names including Pyrex, CorningWare, Revere, and EKCO, Corelle, OXO and Baker's Secret. From 1995 to 1999, Nat was Chairman, President and CEO of Camco Inc., a $600MM public company and Canada's largest manufacturer, marketer and servicer of major home appliances sold under the General Electric, Hotpoint and McCleary brand names. He successfully led a major financial turnaround and strategic repositioning of the company increasing sales by 50% during his tenure. While in Canada with CAMCO, Nat was appointed to the Canadian Federal Government's Sector Advisory Group for International Trade for Housewares Products, and he sat on the Economic Advisory Board to the Premier of Ontario. Earlier, Nat was President and COO of Garden Way, Inc., a $300MM privately held manufacturer of outdoor power equipment under the Troy-Bilt and Bolens brand names. During his tenure, Garden Way saw a 50% increase in sales, the tripling of operating margins, and a four-fold increase in shareholder value. Before that, Nat spent nine years with Black & Decker serving as VP, Service Operations, as VP Marketing, Sales, Service and Distribution for the U.S. Power Tools Group, and as VP/General Manager of the Outdoor Products Division. In his initial assignment as head of Marketing for the company's Household Products Group, he led market introductions and significant growth initiatives of Dustbuster and the revitalization of the Workmate business. At the start of his career he held positions in business planning and development and in marketing/sales at Samsonite, Beatrice Foods Corporation, and at Leigh Products, Inc. Nat was a varsity athlete at Denison University where he graduated with honors and he holds an MBA from the University of Denver where he was at the top of his class and inducted into two national leadership honoraries. Prior to graduate school, Nat spent four years in the US Air Force as a pilot, achieving the rank of captain and receiving the Air Force Commendation Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Ribbon. He is currently a Certified AVA Analyst and has contributed to several private, public and Not-For-Profit Boards. He has two adult children, two grandchildren and is an avid skier and golfer.
