Richard E. (Rick) Romeo, Esq., is the managing partner at the elder and disability law firm of Vincent, Romeo & Rodriguez. Rick received his bachelor's degree, cum laude, from Northwestern University in music, and his law degree from The Ohio State University. Since the early 1990s, he has focused exclusively on elder and disability law, including trust and estate planning, qualification for Medicaid benefits, disability planning through the use of special needs trusts, and nursing home and assisted living facility placement. Rick enjoys helping his elder clients and their families find their way through the “long -term care maze.”  Rick was recently named one of Colorado's Top Lawyers by 5280 magazine. Rick is a member of the Boulder County Bar Association and the Colorado Bar Association, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA, and the Life Care Planning Law Firms Association. Rick is a frequent speaker on elder law issues, Medicaid and long-term care planning, estate planning, and other topics affecting aging adults and their families. A strong believer in giving to the community, Rick served for five years as a commissioner on the Housing Authority of the City of Boulder. He currently serves as a board member for TRU Community Care (formerly Hospice of Boulder and Broomfield Counties).  Rick regularly performs pro bono legal work for Boulder County Legal Services. In his free time, Rick enjoys singing, hiking, woodworking, and spending time with his wife and six children.
