Jason A. Slothouber

Jason Slothouber, Esq., works as a white collar crime prosecutor for the Colorado Attorney General and the U.S. Attorney for Colorado. He primarily handles complex securities fraud, insurance fraud, and white collar organized crime cases. Prior to joining the Attorney General’s Office, Mr. Slothouber was a deputy district attorney in Aspen and Glenwood Springs. He has successfully tried dozens of cases ranging from simple single day affairs to complex month-long trials. Prior to becoming a prosecutor, Mr. Slothouber completed a U.S. District Court clerkship, and worked in law school at the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals and at the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee. While in law school at the University of Colorado, he also won a national championship in mock trial, served as his class president, and worked as a teaching assistant for now Colorado Supreme Court Justice Melissa Hart. Mr. Slothouber also holds an undergraduate degree and a master’s degree in International Law and Government from Georgetown University. Outside of the office, Mr. Slothouber sits on the Executive Council of the Colorado Bar Association Young Lawyer’s Division and volunteers as a mentor for economically disadvantaged youth through the Minds Matter program.
