Jason Kiefer is a successful serial entrepreneur and angel investor and is currently the Co-Founder & CEO of Pixoto, Inc. a contest and community for passionate photographers which creates real-time image rankings using a proprietary voting algorithm called ImageDuel. In 1999, Jason founded Pictage, Inc., the industry leading ecommerce and fulfillment solution for professional wedding and portrait photographers. Over the course of ten years at the helm Jason grew the company from an idea to profitable company with over $40 million in revenue. Combining a world class custom built Web 2.0 platform, outsourced vendors in multiple countries and the nation's first 100% digital professional color lab, Jason's experience at Pictage has given him a in-depth understanding of what it takes to run a successful start-up in the internet age. In March 2006, Jason completed the sale of a majority stake in Pictage to global private equity firm Apax partners for $29 million resulting in an average cash return for Pictage investors of 3X. Jason continued on as CEO after the Apax transaction more than doubling revenue over the next three years.
