Deputy Manager of Public Works City and County of Denver
Robert (Bob) Kochevar, P.E. is Deputy Manager of Public Works for Operations at the City and County of Denver.  His responsibilities include leading the Street Maintenance, Solid Waste, and Wastewater Operations groups.  Bob also directs the Environmental Management team that leads Public Works involvement in Water Quality and the City's MS4 permit. Bob is  a Co-Chair of the 16th St. Mall Steering Committee.  Prior to his current Deputy Manager position, he was the FasTracks Liaison during which he coordinated activities between Denver and RTD for the six new FasTracks corridors and the Denver Union Station. Bob was also City Traffic Engineer from 2000 until 2007, and he was interim Manager of Public Works during the first term of Mayor John Hickenlooper. Bob is a graduate of the University of Illinois, obtained a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado, and is registered Professional Engineer. He has more than 35 years of experience in Public Works, particularly in traffic and transportation in both the public and private sectors.
