Asylum Seeker Advocacy Project
Eric Hoshang Pavri, Esq., is a Senior Community Resource Attorney with the Asylum Seeker Advocacy Project (ASAP). In that role, he creates educational materials such as instructional videos and web resources for asylum seekers, most of whom are navigating the extremely complex processes of asylum law pro se. He also directly answers legal questions from the more than 560,000 asylum-seeking members of ASAP. Prior to joining ASAP, he was Director of the Office of Family Immigration Services at Catholic Charities of Central Colorado from 2015. In that role, he supervised a team of five to represent hundreds of immigrant clients annually in cases ranging from DACA and naturalization to complex waiver, VAWA, asylum, and removal cases. He previously also worked in private practice in Colorado as an immigration attorney and as a public defender in Ohio criminal courts. His prior careers include community organizing and work as a National Park Ranger throughout the American West.
