She has more than two decades of combined experience in complex tax and estate planning and business and corporate counsel. Working together with clients, Maribeth designs successful legal strategies for private wealth planning, business succession, tax-efficient ownership structures, sophisticated tax-exempt structures, trust and estate administration. Her planning addresses complex family issues including multi-generational wealth transfer strategies, closely-held business entity formation and governance, premarital, and marital agreements. She also advises clients on charitable giving techniques including the creation, operation, and dissolution of private foundations and charitable trusts. Maribeth began her career as a corporate transactions attorney in Silicon Valley representing entrepreneurs and emerging growth and technology companies in general corporate, venture capital, private equity, and public financing transactions. Maribeth currently serves as Treasurer of the Board of the Rocky Mountain Estate Planning Council, and serves as Chair of the Development Committee for the Craig Hospital Foundation, Chair of the Nominating and Governance Committee for Horizons Colorado education program for underserved Denver youth, and as a member of the Board of Trustees for KIPP Colorado Public Charter Schools. Maribeth is licensed to practice law in Colorado, California, and New York, and received her JD from Harvard, her MA from the University of Leeds (UK), and her BA from Miami University (Ohio).
