Amanda B. Essex

Amanda Essex, Esq., is a policy associate in the Environment, Energy and Transportation Program at the National Conference of State Legislatures. She has worked for NCSL since May 2013, joining the Transportation Program in December 2014. She conducts research, writes, and presents on a range of topics, including unmanned aircraft systems, traffic safety, 9-1-1 and aviation. Ms. Essex received her Bachelor of Arts cum laude in political science from Colorado State University. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
