John W. Crittenden is a partner in the litigation department of Cooley LLP, resident in its San Francisco office, with over 30 years of experience.  His practice includes litigation and trial work in the areas of trademark, false advertising, unfair competition, and copyright, domestic and international trademark counseling and prosecution, and advice and advocacy in other intellectual property fields such as rights of publicity and the Internet.  He also serves as a mediator in trademark and copyright cases.   John is an adjunct professor at the UCLA School of Law, where he teaches trademark law.  He has been an active member of the International Trademark Association for over 20 years, having served in many leadership roles with the association.  He is listed in Best Lawyers in America, Guide to the World's Leading Trademark Practitioners and Legal 500.
