Shawna Ruetz is a partner at Husch Blackwell's Denver office in its labor and employment law group. Shawna's legal practice focuses on preventative counsel and routine advice for employers, including how to navigate the changing legal landscape. Additionally, Shawna handles employment litigation, particularly class and collective actions and noncompete actions. She represents clients before administrative agencies and in both federal and state courts, and manages investigations. Shawna is also very active in the legal community in Colorado, including recently holding the role of Co-Chair of the Executive Council for the Colorado Bar Association's Labor and Employment Section. Shawna is admitted to practice law in Colorado and Nevada. She earned a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Nevada, Reno, a Master of Art in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Colorado Denver, and J.D. from the University of Denver Strum College of Law where she served on the Denver University Law Review and earned a Workplace Law Certificate.
