Detective Jessica Beren is a Detective with the Westminster Police Department. Jessica has been a police officer for 16 years and has 8 years of experience as the Senior Citizen Liaison. Jessica's position as the Senior Citizen Liaison consists of criminal investigation, public education, and crime prevention. Jessica works closely with the Adams County and Jefferson County District Attorney offices in order to pursue crimes against the elderly. Jessica also does community work through presentations to educate and prevent crimes targeting senior citizens. Jessica has extensive experience and training with financial crimes, exploitation of the elderly, and elder abuse. Jessica was a part of the statewide task force in determining the training for law enforcement involving elder abuse and their response to the new mandatory reporting laws in Colorado.
