Jonathan Kagan is a partner in the Los Angeles office of Irell & Manella LLP, where he is a member of the litigation and intellectual property practice groups and serves on the firm's Executive Committee. Mr. Kagan's practice focuses on the litigation of complex intellectual property disputes, with particular emphasis on patent litigation. Over the past five years, two of his defense verdicts have been recognized as being among the “Top 10 Defense Verdicts” in California by the Los Angeles and San Francisco Daily Journal. He also has significant experience litigating and counseling clients in other areas of intellectual property, including trademark and copyright. Mr. Kagan has consistently been recognized as a leading IP litigator by Chambers USA, and The Legal 500. He is a frequent lecturer and a member of both the National Institute for Trial Advocacy's Editorial Advisory Board and the Board of Governors of the Los Angeles Chapter of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers. He is also a Past-President of the Century City Bar Association.
