Michele On-ja Choe, Esq., is a partner and the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Chair at the Denver-based law firm of Wheeler Trigg O'Donnell LLP. She defends healthcare entities and other sophisticated clients in lawsuits involving complex employment and professional liability claims nationwide. Colorado Super Lawyers lists Michele for Employment Litigation Defense and recognized her as one of its Top 50 Women lawyers in 2023. She has been named a Top Lawyer in Denver for employment matters by 5280 Magazine and recognized by Best Lawyers in America for labor and employment litigation for the last two years. In 2020, Law Week Colorado named her one of its five Top Woman lawyers. Michele's clients include healthcare entities and their affiliates, commercial entities, product manufacturers, pharmaceutical and medical device companies, and employers across a range of industries. Michele litigates a broad range of employment matters such as the defense of wrongful termination claims, discrimination claims including those brought by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, noncompete and trade secret matters, and class actions involving employment claims and joint employment allegations. Michele has been a board member of the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association since 2019, including time served as secretary, treasurer, vice-president, and president. She previously served as a fellow of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity and as a mentor for the Colorado Attorney Mentoring Program.
