Pedowitz & Meister LLPMarisa Warren is an attorney at Pedowitz & Meister, LLP in New York, New York where she concentrates on wage and hour, discrimination, and non-competition cases. She is currently the Co-Chair of the Ethics Sub-Committee of the American Bar Association, Section of Labor and Employment Law, Employee Rights and Responsibility Committee. She also serves as a Student Outreach Coordinator for the ABA, Section of Labor and Employment Law. Ms. Warren has been actively involved in the New Lawyer Committee of NELA/NY. She is a frequent speaker on various employment law and legal ethics issues. Ms. Warren co-authored the article Developing Trends In Non-Compete Agreements and Other Restrictive Covenants which was published in the ABA Journal of Labor and Employment Law, Winter 2015 issue, Social Media, Trade Secrets, Duties of Loyalty, Restrictive Covenants and Yes, the Sky is Falling , 29 Hofstra Lab. & Emp. L.J. 99 (2012) and Social Media: What's Old is New Again ? , which was published in the ABA Section of Labor and Employment Newsletter's Winter 2012 issue. Her article Recent Developments in New York City Human Rights Law: Why Cases Suggest that it is Living Up To the Hype , was published in the New York State Bar Association Young Lawyers Newsletter, Spring 2012. In 2013, 2014, and 2015 Ms. Warren was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star for the New York Metro Area. She is a graduate of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University where she graduated magna cum laude and was designated Order of the Coif. Ms. Warren has been admitted to the bars of New York, New Jersey and Florida and is admitted to practice in United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
