Thomas Werge, Esq., is an attorney, businessman, and musician. He founded Werge Law LLC to provide efficient, high quality legal services to small businesses and individuals, focused on litigation and dispute resolution. Before starting Werge Law, he practiced at Wheeler Trigg O'Donnell, Colorado's largest litigation-only firm. He is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center and a former law clerk to The Honorable J.E. Beshouri of the District of Columbia Superior Court. He has been named a Super Lawyers Rising Star for each of the last six years, and has achieved AV Preeminent status from Martindale-Hubbell. Thomas's practice focuses on civil litigation, business law, and music law. He regularly represents clients in business disputes, including business divorce and partnership breakups, together with employment, real estate, trade secret and noncompetition matters, prosecution and defense of civil judgments / collections, creditors in bankruptcy, intellectual property, construction, professional liability and malpractice, civil rights, franchising, personal injury defense, product liability, insurance, and other commercial matters. Thomas has broad litigation experience, handling the full scope of the process, including pleadings, motions practice, discovery, experts, depositions, jury trials, and appeals. Thomas also represents clients in arbitration, at mediation, as local counsel, and in administrative proceedings. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Thomas spent seven years working in business, information technology, and human resources, primarily at Level (3) Communications (now CenturyLink). In addition to his law degree, Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Colorado State University. Thomas is also an active musician. Since 1996, he has performed with his band, 12 Cents for Marvin. Over the last 20 years, the band has released five full-length albums, completed multiple tours, created a music video, and continues to perform throughout Colorado. The confluence of Thomas's musical and legal careers have been featured in articles by The Docket and Law Week Colorado. Thomas lives in central Denver, with his wife, Halie Crocker Werge, and their three children.
