Lila Sol, Esq., is an attorney at Colorado Legal Services (CLS) in Denver, practicing domestic relations law exclusively for victims of domestic violence who qualify for low-income legal representation.  Prior to joining CLS in 2015, Lila was an associate with Stevens, Littman, Biddison, Tharp & Weinberg, LLC, practicing in domestic and civil litigation and clerked for the 20th Judicial District.  She has published locally on UCCJEA and Civil Unions, as well as presented on same-sex marriage issues.  Lila recently co-produced (with Judge Elizabeth Brodsky) a statewide County Court legal training video on Civil Protection Orders.  She was awarded the Outstanding Young Lawyer of the Year Award by the Boulder County Bar Association in 2015. She teaches free legal clinics for Project Safeguard and Family Tree Domestic Violence Shelter; works in collaboration with the Rose Andom Center (Denver domestic violence services provider); and participates in Boulder County's Access to Justice Committee's free legal clinic.   Prior to law school, Lila worked in the social services field for a domestic violence shelter, rape crisis center, and youth shelter in New Mexico.
