Ross A. Hoogerhyde
Colorado Department of LawRoss Hoogerhyde, Esq., is a First Assistant Attorney General at the Colorado Department of Law. Ross has been a member of the Marijuana, Liquor and Bankruptcy Unit in the Revenue & Utilities Section since 2016. Before joining the Department of Law, Ross practiced at two nationwide law firms handling bankruptcy and civil litigation cases. In his current role, Ross provides general counsel and litigation advice to the Marijuana Enforcement and the Natural Medicine Divisions of the Colorado Department of Revenue, including appearing in matters before the Colorado District Court and the Department of Revenue Hearings Division. Ross also authored the ownership chapter in the Attorney General Alliance's Cannabis Law Deskbook since 2021. He earned his JD from Michigan State University College of Law and his BA from Western Michigan University.
