Kate E. Smith, Esq., concentrates her practice in estate planning, trust and estate administration, protective proceedings (guardianship and conservatorship), probate litigation, and adoption law. Ms. Smith is currently Public Administrator for Larimer County. Ms. Smith also currently serves as a court-appointed visitor and court-appointed counsel for guardianship and conservatorship proceedings in the District Courts of Larimer County. Ms. Smith has also been involved in numerous litigation matters throughout the Front Range and Metro Denver.  She is co-chair of the Larimer County Bar Association’s Trust & Estate Section and a member of the Colorado Bar Association’s Trust and Estate and Elder Law Sections. Ms. Smith previously clerked for two District Court Judges within the Eighth Judicial District.Ms. Smith earned her law degree, graduating Order of St. Ives (top 10%), from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2010. While in law school, Ms. Smith interned for former Chief Justice Mary Mullarkey of the Colorado Supreme Court. Ms. Smith received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Honors History from the University of Michigan.
