Carol LaRocque joined the Children’s Law Center in 2005 to direct The Dandelion Project, a therapeutic gardening program for abused and neglected children. After earning her BA from St. John's College in Santa Fe, NM, Carol worked at a Montessori program and several child-focused nonprofits before returning to school to pursue a counseling degree. She earned her MA in Contemplative Psychotherapy from Naropa University in 1999 and became a Colorado Licensed Professional Counselor in 2003. Carol has eight years of experience in individual, family, and group therapy with juvenile victims/witnesses of abuse, neglect, and violence. She has been gardening organically for more than 5 years.
