Michael A. Maciszewski

Michael Maciszewski is the Partner, Transactional Services and Operations of Alexius Solutions, LLC, a Denver-based managed legal services and legal operations consulting company, where his unique combination of legal acumen and management experience enables him to identify practical, business-minded solutions for a wide range of clients. From 2010 to 2016, Mr. Maciszewski was an associate at Faegre Baker Daniels, LLP, where he served as outside general counsel to a wide range of companies, providing guidance relating to commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, operational matters, and strategic transactions.
 
Capitalizing on the knowledge, insights, and experience he has gained in more than 19 years as
an executive and as a professor in the sports and entertainment industry, Mr. Maciszewski enjoys assisting sports and entertainment-related clients. He was manager of contract information for the Jacksonville Jaguars (1996-1998) and was selected by the National Football League to assist in the startup of the expansion Cleveland Browns organization as the team’s pro scouting administrator (1998-2000). As the general manager of the Colorado Crush (2002-2006), Mr. Maciszewski managed the organization’s day-to-day operations while negotiating all player contracts and overseeing team compliance with the league’s collective bargaining agreement and multi-million-dollar salary cap. He helped guide the Crush to the 2005 Arena Bowl championship and was nominated for the league’s executive of the year award in 2006.
 
Mr. Maciszewski is an instructor at the University of Colorado at Boulder Leeds School of Business, where he teaches business law, negotiations, and sports law. From 2007 to 2013, he was an adjunct professor at the University of Denver Daniels College of Business, where he designed and taught sports and entertainment classes at the undergraduate and graduate levels involving general management, entrepreneurship, and negotiation. Mr. Maciszewski also speaks at universities around the country.
 
He is a graduate of Harvard College (A.B., Government, cum laude, 1996), where he was awarded a “Major H” for playing quarterback and serving as an undergraduate assistant coach on the football team. He also attended UCLA Anderson School of Management (M.B.A., 2002) and the University of Denver Sturm College of Law (J.D., 2010).
 
Mr. Maciszewski was named to the Faegre Baker Daniels Pro Bono Honor Roll each year from 2012 to 2015. He was also nominated by the Colorado Lawyers Committee as a member of the
Team of the Year: Nonprofit Working Group Coordinators and Most Active 2014 Volunteers. He has also served as a mentor in the University of Colorado Leeds School of Business Professional
Mentorship Program. Mr. Maciszewski is an active alumnus and participates in the Rocky Mountain Harvard University Club Schools Committee, Friends of Harvard Football, UCLA Anderson MBA Admissions, and as a Punahou School Alumni Correspondent.
