Shirin Chahal, Esq., became an attorney after an early career in the music industry, which included booking tours for bands and working at a major publishing company in Los Angeles. Today, Shirin practices in the areas of intellectual property and business law, and serves as outside general counsel to a wide range of small- to medium-sized businesses in Colorado. She provides ongoing legal support with corporate governance and tax compliance, entity formation and founders agreements, contract drafting and negotiation, and copyright and trademark matters. Shirin enjoys creatively designing legal and business solutions to meet her clients' goals, challenges and budgets. Because of her creative background, Shirin maintains a passion for copyright law and continues to serve those in the creative industries (artists, designers, photographers, songwriters and filmmakers). She is co-chair of the Rocky Mountain chapter of the Copyright Society, as well as a speaker and volunteer with the Colorado Attorneys for the Arts and a board member for the Boulder County Arts Alliance. When she's not working hard for her clients, Shirin devotes much of her free time to her community through pro bono, non-profit and volunteer work.
