Lindsay L. VanGilder
First Judicial DistrictThe Honorable Lindsay L. VanGilder is a judge for the 1st Judicial District of Colorado. She was appointed to the bench by Governor Jared Polis in 202, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Honorable Margie Enquist. The 1st Judicial District encompasses Gilpin and Jefferson County. Van Gilder earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and criminology from the University of Denver in 2006. She then completed a J.D. at the University of Colorado Law School in 2009. After graduating from law school, VanGilder began her legal career with the Denver District Attorney’s Office. During her tenure there, she held assignments in the Juvenile Unit, handling criminal law and juvenile delinquency matters.
