Katie Fox, Esq., grew up in Colorado and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor's in Business Administration from the University of Denver in 2004.  A year later, she began pursuing a J.D. from the University of Denver's Sturm College of Law, focusing her studies in the area of Natural Resources.  During law school, Katie completed several internships, one of which was with the National Park Service, edited student papers for her legal writing professor and attended the Universidad de Granada in Spain and traveled Europe during the summer of 2006.  After becoming licensed to practice in Colorado, Katie moved to Durango where she first conducted research for an appellate environmental law firm and assisted in family law matters. Later, she worked for a small, husband and wife firm that specialized in personal injury, criminal defense and workers' compensation cases.  Upon returning to Denver, Katie worked as a landman for the oil and gas industry and subsequently joined Carleton Gotlin Law where she focused on mineral title examination and title curative.  Going forward, Katie plans to diversify and expand her knowledge base in property matters to include real estate, probate and elder law.
