Kristi . Walton

Kristi Walton is an associate in the Trial Group of Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP and practices primarily in the field of employment and labor law. Specifically, she litigates and advises clients in the areas of layoffs; employment agreements; equal employment opportunity, including discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims based on Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Family Medical Leave Act, and corresponding Colorado and California state law; unlawful discharge; noncompetition agreements; and wage and hour laws.
 
She has represented large corporations to small, privately held companies. In addition to Ms. Walton’s experience handling matters in state and federal courts, she has extensive experience representing clients before administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH) and Department of Industrial Relations (DIR), and Department of Labor (DOL).
Prior to joining DGS in 2008, Ms. Walton practiced employment law in San Francisco, California, where she also obtained her law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. During law school, she externed for the Honorable Consuelo B. Marshall, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, the U.S. Attorney’s Office, and the EEOC. Ms. Walton was a member of Hastings’ Constitutional Law Quarterly and the American Bar Association National Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Competition.
Ms. Walton is admitted to practice in Colorado and California and is a member of the bars of the U.S. District Courts for Colorado and Northern and Eastern Districts of California. She is also a member of the American and Asian Pacific American Bar Associations.
