Christopher T. Ryan was appointed clerk of the Colorado Supreme Court on May 23, 2011. He has also been the clerk of the Colorado Court of Appeals since December 3, 2007. He has held a number of positions for the Colorado Judicial Branch, beginning as a bailiff in the Denver District Court in 1990. Immediately prior to his appointment as clerk of the court of appeals, he served as a senior budget analyst with the Colorado State Court Administrator’s Office. Additionally, from 2001–2005 he was employed by the National Center for State Courts as a senior court management consultant, where his work focused on the assessment of operations and caseflow management in the courts and the development and maintenance of workload assessment models for judges and court staff. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Colorado.
