Richard G. Lyon

Richard Lyon has practiced law for more than forty years as a litigator, corporate attorney, general counsel, advisor to law firms, in-house legal departments, and government legal departments, and arbitrator and mediator.  As a specialist in information technology and the commercial exploitation of technology, he has advised major providers and acquirers of IT in acquisitions, joint ventures and other strategic alliances, licensing and sales of IP assets, IT and business process outsourcing, and distributorship matters.  He is currently on the roster of mediators and arbitrators of the World Intellectual Property Organization and has participated in more than 250 Uniform Dispute Resolution Policy panels for WIPO. As a Montanan he is active in local and national conservation and recreational land use matters and organizations. He is a member of the bar of the States of New York and Texas.
