Erica Gann Kitaev, JD, CIPP/US, is Managing Editor, Privacy & Data Security, for Practical Law, a Thomson Reuters solution. At Practical Law, Erica is responsible for planning and developing privacy and data security content. She is a frequent speaker on privacy and data security topics and is a co-author of West Academic Publishing's Privacy Law in a Nutshell, Second Edition. In addition, Erica has taught privacy law as an adjunct professor at the University of Denver's Sturm College of Law. Prior to joining Practical Law, Erica was a partner at Baker Hostetler LLP, where she handled a broad variety of privacy and data security matters, including data breach response, litigation, and compliance issues.
