Adams County Public Trustee's OfficeCarol A. Snyder is a native Coloradoan and has lived in the north Metro Denver area all of her life. Carol holds an Associate Degree in Business Administration and a Paralegal Certificate from the University of Denver. At one time, she served as a Deputy Clerk for the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals and as a Contract Manager for a local real estate developer, but she spent over 30 years of her career working as a paralegal and office administrator for several Denver attorneys focusing on real estate and litigation practices, including: Joseph Berenbaum, William H. Erickson, Tom Bieging, Joseph Montano, and Leslie Fields. Carol has served in elected or appointed public service positions since 1987: 1987 - 1991 Northglenn City Councilwoman, 1991 - 1998 State Representative for House District 33 - While serving in the State Legislature, Carol held several leadership positions: Minority Caucus Chair, Assistant House Minority Leader and when she left the State House due to term limits in 1999 she had served 2 years as the House Minority Leader in 1997 & 1998, 1998 - 2007 - Adams County's Clerk and Recorder, 2007 - Present - Adams County Public Trustee - appointed by Governors Ritter and Hickenlooper. Carol has served as the President of the Colorado Public Trustees Association and has been a member of the Public Trustees Legislative Committee. During the 2009 legislative session, Carol was involved in the legislation that created the "Foreclosure Deferment Program" in Colorado and has since given several training presentations on the Deferment Program for CLE as well as to Public Trustees and Housing Counselors around the State.
