Arnall Golden Gregory LLPNeil Gordon is a partner in the bankruptcy and reorganization department of the Atlanta law firm of Arnall Golden Gregory LLP. After graduating from the University of Georgia's Lumpkin School of Law in 1979, he served for two years as a law clerk in Atlanta for United States District Court Judge Robert L. Vining, Jr. For the following 37 years, he has been in private practice with the last 34 years being exclusively in the areas of bankruptcy, business reorganization, fraud investigations, and creditors' rights. Mr. Gordon chaired the Bankruptcy Law Section of the Atlanta Bar Association from 1992 to 1993, and has been a panel trustee since 1994, administering approximately 29,000 Chapter 7 and 11 cases. Mr. Gordon was first elected to the Board of the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees in 2000. He has held every office including President (2011-2012). Mr. Gordon has authored or co-authored over 60 scholarly articles and book chapters on bankruptcy law related topics and made over 100 seminar presentations throughout the country. He is a lifetime member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and served for seven years as either Education Director or Co-Chair of ABI's Legislation Committee, ending in April 2015. He is a Master of the Bench in the Georgia Bankruptcy American Inn of Court, and a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy.
