Christopher W. (Chris) Brophy, Esq., is a founding member of Brophy Clauss LLC and
practices general commercial litigation. As an active trial attorney, Mr. Brophy has
represented clients in all phases of litigation, including successfully arguing motions for
summary judgment, conducting jury trials, resolving disputes through mediation and arguing
before the Colorado Court of Appeals. Mr. Brophy has experience representing clients in
complex commercial litigation, and real estate matters including title actions, contract
disputes and access disputes involving adverse possession and various types of easements.
Prior to moving to Colorado, Mr. Brophy practiced for seven years as a commercial litigator
in Dallas, Texas, representing clients in a wide range of matters including commercial
litigation, employment disputes, commercial landlord-tenant disputes, securities defense, and
bankruptcy adversary proceedings. Mr. Brophy received his undergraduate degree from
Colorado State University in 1998 and his law degree from Cornell Law School in 2001
