Kristi Anderson Wells is an artist, a maker, and a tax geek. Having spent her first 15 years as a lawyer working areas of taxation and benefits for large firms, her practice now focuses exclusively on domestic relations cases with an emphasis on complex issues such as trusts, pre-marital agreements, closely held business interests, taxation, benefits and executive compensation. Kristi has written and lectured extensively on family law topics as well as having been a tax commentator for NPR's Morning Edition. Kristi published a two-part article for the Colorado Lawyer entitled A Primer on Executive Compensation in a Colorado Divorce - Parts 1 and 2, May and June 2022. She also co-authored The Executive Compensation Handbook: Stock Option Awards, Restricted Stock Grants, Cash Bonuses, Incentives and Other Non-qualified Deferred Compensation in Divorce, published by the American Bar Association. Kristi currently serves as Chair of the Family Law Section Executive Council and is a past President of the board of Colorado Collaborative Divorce Professionals.
