Ian Hicks, Esq., grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, and has lived in Denver for over 20 years. During his time in Atlanta, he spent a year overseas in Africa. Prior to attending college, he held several jobs that provided invaluable insight on how people think and the factors that influence their decision-making process. Two that stand out as particularly informative are his two years of driving a taxi during the graveyard shift and selling cars for three years at several well-known local dealerships. After getting his fill of the real world, in a manner of speaking, learning both about other people and himself, he attended the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, graduating in the top 2% of his class. During the course of his legal career, he has worked at both small local firms that specialize in trial practice, as well as a large national firm with a practice group comprised of over 100 lawyers. His clients have included both individuals as well as large and closely-held corporate entities, represented both as plaintiffs and defendants. He has also been fortunate to gain experience in a broad array of substantive areas, from complex commercial disputes to cases involving litigation between two individuals. As a result of that experience, in a variety of jurisdictions, he gained a keen understanding of the factors that can influence a successful result. He founded The Law Firm of Ian T. Hicks LLC in an effort to combine the best features of both large and small law firms, and to provide both exceptional and cost-effective legal representation. He thrives on the litigation process, and more importantly, the positive impact that he can have on his clients.
