Katherine (Katy) Ellis, Esq., earned her J.D. from The University of Denver Sturm College of Law and a Master’s Degree in International Studies from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies in 2007. Katy is currently a partner at The Harris Law Firm, PLLP, which has offices in Denver, Englewood, Boulder, and Colorado Springs. Katy is based in Denver and represents clients in litigation, transactional law, and appellate law in the areas of family law and estate planning. Katy enjoys working with the Supreme Court’s Licensed Legal Paraprofessional Oversight Committee and the Colorado Lawyers Committee. She is also an active member of the American Inns of Court and remains actively involved in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, which is the world’s largest moot court competition. In her practice, Katy particularly enjoys taking on cases with an international component, including child abduction cases and cases in which assets or parties are located overseas. This includes estate planning for parties who have accounts, property, or beneficiaries in other countries. Katy is fluent in Spanish and French.
