Paladina HealthRanmali Bopitiya, Esq. joined Caplan and Earnest's health-care practice in 2009. Ms. Bopitiya earned her law degree at Yale Law School in 2006 and earned her Masters in Public Health at Harvard in 2007. Her practice is focused on regulatory compliance and healthcare transactions. Ms. Bopitiya counsels hospitals, physician groups, and other health-care providers on a wide variety of issues, including the Stark and Anti-Kickback analysis, HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement, and state licensure. Ms. Bopitiya advises clients regarding the regulatory developments under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Ms. Bopitiya was elected to the executive council of the Colorado Bar Association Health Law Section. She is an active member of Colorado Health Care Compliance Association and has served twice as a speaker at the HCCA Mountain Regional Conference. Ms. Bopitiya serves as the Vice President of the Board of Directors of ClinicNET, a non-profit organization supporting community-funded safety net clinics.
