Samantha White, Esq., is an attorney with the law firm of Baker Hostetler LLP.  Her primary practice areas consist of tax planning, estate planning and business transactions.  Ms. White frequently advises tax-exempt organizations regarding obtaining tax-exempt status, ongoing compliance and the fiduciary obligations of directors and officers.   She also has represented entities facing revocation of their exempt status with the IRS.   Ms. White graduated Order of St. Ives from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and received her LL.M. from the University of Denver Graduate Tax Program.   She is a frequent presenter at the Annual Institute for Advising Nonprofit Organizations on topics concerning private foundations, public charities and unrelated business income tax.  She is also contributing co-author to the chapters on Wills, Estate Planning, Estate Administration and Trusts in Colorado Methods of Practice (West 2011, supplemented  through 2013) and a co-author on Allocating Estate and Generation-Skipping Transfer Taxes in The Orange Book, Colorado Estate Planning Handbook (2011, supplemented through 2013).  Ms. White practiced at Pendleton, Wilson, Hennessey & Crow, P.C. prior to joining Baker Hostetler.
