The Honorable David Taylor  has served as the county court judge in Gilpin County since 2015. Prior to his appointment to the bench, he served as a staff attorney for Colorado's Fifth Judicial District, was in private practice, and was a law clerk for Danny Long in Somerset County on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Judge Taylor received a J.D. from Wake Forest University in 2005 and majored in history at Mary Washington College in Virginia. In addition to the normal county court docket, he also hears family-related cases in Gilpin County.
