Nic Heinke, Esq., is the Associate Regional Director for Enforcement in the SEC’s Denver Regional Office. In this role, Nic oversees the office’s enforcement program, helping to supervise the approximately 50 investigative and trial attorneys, accountants, and paralegals in their work on investigations and litigations. Nic previously served as a senior trial counsel in the Denver Regional Office, and as counsel to the SEC’s Director of Enforcement. He was also an adjunct professor at the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law, teaching a course on SEC investigations. Prior to joining the SEC, Nic worked for the Colorado Attorney General’s office, for the Denver office of an international law firm, and clerked for several federal judges in Colorado.
