Becky Farr, Esq., is an attorney focusing on taxation, corporate, and charitable giving matters that impact nonprofit organizations. Becky counsels her clients on transactions and matters that span the nonprofit life-cycle, including a great deal of work with startups and transitioning organizations. She's been involved in tracking and keeping clients apprised of the development of emerging issues in the nonprofit space, such as social enterprise, political activity sensitivities and IRS delays, and disaster relief. Becky has taught nonprofit law fundamentals at the University of Colorado School of Law and the Colorado State University MBA program, and has presented at the Annual Primer on Advising Nonprofit Organizations and the National Scholarship Providers Association annual conference. She regularly presents on timely topics such as social enterprise, program-related investments, and donor-advised funds. Becky was named one of Law Week Colorado's Up-and-Coming Lawyers in 2012, and a SuperLawyers Rising Star in 2014-2018. In practicing with Denver-based Leaffer Law Group, Becky works with clients across Colorado and beyond. She also makes her home in Boulder, and focuses on serving nonprofits there, with a growing emphasis on outdoor/environmental and social enterprise organizations.
