Honorable Stephen Munsinger (ret.) is a District Court Judge in the 1st Judicial District. In 1971, he graduated from the University of Colorado Law School. Munsinger worked in the Denver District Attorney's Office from 1972 to 1975 and in the U.S. Attorney's Office from 1975 to 1979. From 1979 until his appointment to the bench in July 2001, Munsinger worked in private practice. Prior to entering the legal field, Munsinger achieved the rank of captain in the U.S. Army in Field Artillery and Aviation.
