Norman R. Mueller
Haddon Morgan & Foreman PCNorman R. Mueller received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Kansas and his J.D. from Yale Law School. As a former deputy state public defender, he served as chief appellate deputy for that office. He is special counsel at Haddon, Morgan & Foreman, P.C., and specializes in trials and appeals in the state and federal courts. Mr. Mueller has served on the Colorado Supreme Court Committee on Appellate Rules since 1986. He is also a member of the Rules of Evidence Committee. He previously served on the Supreme Court Committee on Criminal Rules and on the Board of Editors for The Colorado Lawyer. Mr. Mueller is a member and past president of the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar. He is a former member of the board of directors for the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (2011-2019) and is a Tenth Circuit Co-Chair for the Amicus Committee for that organization. Over the years, he has lectured on various appellate advocacy and ethical issues. Mr. Mueller is a former member of the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals Standing Committee on the Criminal Justice Act (CJA) and also serves on the Criminal Pattern Jury Instruction Committee for that court.
