Andrea I. Gomez-Oxman

Andrea I. Gomez Oxman, Esq. is originally from Colombia, Ms. Gomez Oxman is a first generation American bringing with her a personal experience to her work as an immigration attorney. Currently the Managing Attorney for the Detention Program at the Rocky Mountain Immigrant Advocacy Network she oversees the Legal Orientation Program at the GEO/ICE facility in Aurora and aims to provide volunteer attorneys working in removal proceedings with an enlightening and rewarding volunteer experience. Formerly an attorney with the Colorado Public Defender, she joined RMIAN in April 2007 and has been with RMIAN ever since. Ms. Gomez Oxman has a JD and a Natural Resources Law Degree from University of New Mexico School of Law and a dual Bachelor of Sciences from the University of Michigan. She is a regular volunteer at Ya Es Hora Citizenship Drives and a member of AILA's Access to Services, Benefit, and New Member Division Committees. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband Xander, her 2 yr old girl Oslo, and her dog Diesel.
