Clara Brown Shaffer, Esq., is a shareholder at the Law office of Brown and Brown, P.C. Her practice focuses primarily on estate planning, estate administration, special needs planning, elder law and long-term care planning. Clara graduated from the University of Puget Sound in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology and received her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 2006. She is currently a Fellow of the American College of Trust & Estate Council (ACTEC), and is a former Chair of the Statutory Revisions Committee for the Trust and Estate Section of the Colorado Bar Association. Clara is also a member of the Trust and Estate Section and Elder Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association. As well as being active in the legal community, Clara is active in her local community and currently serves as Board Member of the St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation. She is a past president of the Colorado Mesa University Foundation Board and past Co-Chair of the Estate Planning Council at the St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation. In addition, Clara frequently gives presentations and seminars throughout Colorado on topics involving trust and estate planning, estate administration, and elder law.
