Cristy DiMaria, Esq., serves as Second Assistant Attorney General in the Revenue and Regulatory Law Section of the Colorado Attorney General's Office. With nearly two decades of legal experience, Cristy provides strategic regulatory and general counsel to state agencies focused on regulatory frameworks for liquor, tobacco, firearms, cannabis, and Colorado's emerging natural medicine program. Her work includes advising on complex policy implementation, managing litigation, and assessing risk across evolving regulatory landscapes. Cristy has presented at national forums, including the Attorney General Alliance and the Cannabis Regulators Association (CANNRA), and is a contributing author to the Cannabis Law Desk Book, where she writes on cannabis tax structures and policy. Cristy also serves on the General Counsel Academy Steering Committee for the Colorado Department of Law, shaping programming on best practices in agency representation. A graduate of Bucknell University and New England School of Law, before joining the Attorney General's Office, Cristy served as legal counsel to the Denver Department of Excise and Licenses and honed her litigation skills as a prosecutor and in private practice.
