Katherine Otto, Esq., is a partner with Messner Reeves LLP. She practices in Colorado and New York, representing medical doctors, chiropractors, dentists, podiatrists, and allied health professionals on a variety of claims. She advises employers on labor and employment issues that frequently arise in healthcare settings, and also defends general liability, commercial liability, premises liability, catastrophic injury, and construction defect cases at trial. She has been selected as a Colorado SuperLawyers Rising Star every year since 2013, and is rated AV-Preeminent. She recently rotated off the Board of the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association after serving for 4 years, and currently holds a leadership position with the Association for Healthcare Risk Management of New York. Her article, Embracing Social Media: Five Steps to Optimize Admissibility at Trial, was recently published in DRI's quarterly publication, For the Defense. She has been invited to speak on the topic of social media investigation and admissibility at DRI's 2019 Medical Liability Seminar in Nashville, TN. Katherine is an accredited veteran attorney, and assists veterans pro bono in the pursuit of benefits associated with service-related conditions.
