Gerald . Welch
Gerald Welch is the managing partner of the Dallas office of Patton Boggs LLP, a national firm headquartered in Washington DC, and is also a member of the firm's management committee. Mr. Welch assists clients with the procurement, development, licensing, and management of intellectual property, including the preparation and prosecution of complex patent applications, and the negotiation and documentation of technology-related transactions. With over 25 years of experience advising corporations at all levels in the United States, Asia, and Europe, Mr. Welsh continues to develop innovative solutions that help clients integrate their intellectual property within their overall business strategy. Mr. Welch is a frequent speaker and author in technology development, IP strategic planning, and the integration of IP practices in general firms. He founded the Dallas Chapter of the Licensing Executive Society and is the past Chair of the AIPLA's Management of IP Assets Committee.
