Brian C. Williamson

Brian C. Williamson is a seasoned trial attorney with a strong client-centered approach to litigation. Mr. Williamson's passion for criminal defense began with his certified internship at the nationally recognized San Francisco Public Defender's Office in 2004, where he gained a solid understanding of the criminal justice system and handson experience in representing those accused of crimes. In 2005, Mr. Williamson was selected to the Judge Lee Baxter Graduate Fellow in a post-graduate position at Golden Gate University School of Law. Under the supervision of legendary professor and trial attorney Bernard L. Segal, Mr. Williamson trained students in the art of trial advocacy.
 
In 2006, Mr. Williamson joined the Colorado State Office of the Public Defender. During his nearly six and a half years as a deputy state public defender, Mr. Williamson represented over 1,000 clients in the Montrose and Arapahoe Trial Offices. Mr. Williamson has acted as lead defense counsel for a full range of felonies and misdemeanors, including first-degree murder, complex sexual assault, intricate economic crimes, complicated traffic offenses, and habitual criminal charges. He also implemented trial strategies that involve mental health, insanity, and a variety of affirmative defenses.
 
Mr. Williamson is a member of the Denver Bar Association, Colorado Bar Association and National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is currently a Colorado Criminal Defense Bar board member. At BCWilliamson, PC, he continues to be an aggressive advocate for his clients.
