Social Security AdministrationFrank Bobbitt is the Assistant Regional Attorney within the Denver Region VIII Social
Security Administration/Office of Disability Adjudication and Review. He graduated from
Concordia College in 1972, and was subsequently commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in
the US Army. He spent twenty years on active duty with the Army in command, operational,
and staff assignments throughout the Middle East, Europe, and the United States. Following
retirement from the US Army, he attended the William Mitchell College of Law, St. Paul,
Minnesota, and graduated (cum laude) in 1995. Following graduation, Mr. Bobbitt spent five
years in private practice and focused primarily in areas such as workers’ compensation,
personal injury, family law, and criminal defense. In 2000, he accepted an appointment as the
Assistant Command Judge Advocate for the US Third Army Central Command in Kuwait
and represented the Army for three years in the areas of Federal contracting, fiscal law,
employee/labor relations, legal assistance, and international agreements. In 2003, he was
appointed as the ODAR Region VIII Assistant Regional Attorney and currently specializes in
labor/employee relations, administrative procedures, and attorney fee matters.
