Michael C. Franson

Michael Franson is a co-founder and President of St. Charles Capital. Mr. Franson focuses on providing clients in the technology sector with strategic financial alternatives and advisory. He has more than 25 years of experience leading corporate sale and acquisition transactions, recapitalizations, mergers and private placements of debt and equity for both private and public companies in a wide array of sectors throughout the United States.
 
Mr. Franson was previously a Managing Director in the Technology Investment Banking Group of KeyBanc Capital Markets. He was also a partner at The Wallach Company and at Boettcher and Company, both regional investment banking firms located in Denver. He was a founding member of Boettcher and Company’s venture capital department, raising and investing a venture capital fund focused on technology and emerging growth companies throughout the West. Mr. Franson is a member of the advisory board for The Deming Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He also serves on the board of Northwest Pipe Company, a public company that manufactures steel pipe products for water transmission and industrial markets. Mr. Franson is a member of the Board of Directors of the Colorado Chautauqua Association.
 
Mr. Franson earned his MBA degree in Finance from the University of Oregon’s Charles H. Lundquist College of Business and a B.S. in Marketing from California State University. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
